The very last time I saw a Witness going door to door, I couldn't do what
I wanted to do. There was a very nice fella who did all the talking;
must've been in his 60s. Very courteous and personable. I took the
pamphlet like a good guy and listened a bit and said something like "I'll
certainly read it."

What I wanted to do was run back to my room and get my set of X-acto
knives and do a little self-carving. I was really into Marilyn Manson
about the time he was self-mutilating (before the man-boobies thing). I
couldn't bring myself to ruin this guy's day, even though I am certain
several people probably told him off anyway.
