They have both plastic and wood handled knives.

I assume that that price is average retail.  I just found this website about a
month ago, after I saw a chef using them on some food network program. 
Frankly, I'de like a set of Kyocera ceramic, as well as a set of *good* steel. 
I'm still using a crap *soft* steel set we bought about 5 years ago.  I'm
actually amazed they've lasted this long - but that's only because I've taken
really good care of them.
