And on the police scanners the dispatchers use the locations of the cock fights (there
are 2 of them in the county) and the whore houses (there are 3 of them) as land marks
to give directions to the deputies! :) One time I was listening to my scanner, and
they sent a deputy to a domestic disturbance... a few moments later they called the
deputy to advise him that shots were fired. In Broward County FL that would be enough
to have 70% of the force arrive on the scene, in Cocke County, the deputy just replied
"ok, I'll be careful" !!
