In regards to French Canadians, as much as I hate the separatists,
phonetically there are three different ways of talking French. There
is France-French, Quebec French, and then the rest of Canada French.
Each of these is very different and is spoken at different speeds,
thus making them completely incomprehensibly to each other and anyone
else. I learnt French for 7 years and because of the differences
between how each teacher spoke I lost it do to the extreme
differences.
