These things are FUN!

Two weeks ago I was visiting a friend's brother for a BBQ and he made
one a few days before. He used some spare heavy-walled PVC pipe (stack
pipe), a four foot length of narrower PVC pipe, a couple of connectors
and a threaded plug. He scavenged the push-button ignition from an old
LP gas grill and threaded it in place.

Worked great- throwing spuds and apples fifty or sixty yards into the
hayfield- until we ran out of things that would fill the barrel. No one
wanted to "pressure test" it by trying paper wadding behind smaller
projectiles.

I had not played with one since college. Great.
