I picked a 1st gen one at Edmund Scientific minus 
eyepieces and finder scope for $325 just before the next 
gen came out.  (I wish I had the computerized one.) 
Advice: get the most stable tripod you can get.  Makes 
seeing a lot easier.   BTW, I had eyepieces and finder 
from another scope I have.
