I read a piece somewhere the other day stating that any caffeine entering in
your system after something like mid-afternoon will prevent you from getting
a proper night's deep sleep that evening.

You will be able to get to sleep but your body can't get into the state of
complete rest required for REM, or something like that.

I'll see if I can dig up the article, I think it was in the Guardian.
