That was one great lesson I pulled out of a psychology class.
Habits are things we fall back into.  Quitting a bad habit is
difficult, and odds are you WILL fail to quit "cold turkey".
Don't freak out about it, quit again.  Each time it will be easier
to quit again, even if you fall back.  Eventually the "quit" behavior
will be the habit, and you won't do the bad habit any more.

I'd recommend not going totally cold turkey on the caffeine.  Or at
least go ahead and have one cup of coffee/tea/soda when you've got
that god-awful caffeine headache.  I just dumped the caffeine last
weekend... although I had the "I'd-rather-be-dead" flu to help =)
