Well, I can't really try that for reasons stated below.  But the
official MS stance is that 2kAS requires a license as if the the number
of logical processors was the total number of processors, while .NET
only requires a license for the physical number of packages.  

I actually could find anything that addressed 2k pro and XP here.  I'd
assume its the same.

Technically, the school is running windows.  And I can't change that.
If I could ever convince them to switch, it certainly wouldn't be just
after they bought a 20 some thousand dollar peripheral that is Windows
only.
