What must be done to make forte c++ work for real work?  I can compile
trivial programs fine, but for various reasons, everything else fails.

For instance, there doesn't seem to be any make command.  Is it OK to just
alias make="dmake" ?

Also, some things (like apache) complain about not being able to find a 
linker.  There obviously must be one or else the simplest program also
would run.  here is the apache error message (from the ./configure command)

performing libtool configuration...
checking for non-GNU ld... no
configure: error: no acceptable ld found in $PATH
configure failed for srclib/apr

On another note, what is the best security auditing tool to make sure that
this Solaris machine is reasonably secure before sending it off.  Perhaps
I should also add tripwire to the list of things to install.
