Been there - done that.  Sometimes friends need a reality check.  I 
usually step in, whap 'em both on the head and show them the silliness of 
their ways.  Most of the time we just laugh and go grab some chow.
There's nothing on this planet (with the exception of the whole 
palastine/israel thing) that BBQ can't fix.
