I am Scottish.

My skin has been falling off for a few weeks now, after an afternoon
on Lake Travis.

Summer here (and spring, and autumn) are all too hot for me.

I go from air conditioned car to office to apartment.

In the winter here, it is not really cold, so I was still in jeans
and a T. The locals seemed very confused by this.

(I am from Stirling / Edinburgh, it gets a lot colder than that over
there...)
