That's because the "Disc Safe" protection crap puts a non-standard gap
onto the CD at some random location when they create the master.  What
you need to copy D2/D2X is a drive that reads subchannel data and can
do a perfect bitwise copy.  The only software I've found that will do
that 90% of the time, for _it's_ supported list of readers/burners, is
CloneCD which is a Winblow only app.  If anybody's got a better
solution I'd like to hear it though.
