[geeks] Eeeek

We have a Linux box with 320GB on it. It was taking a while to figure out
how to get ReiserFS going (this was a while ago) and people started asking
why I didn't have it running yet. When I explained that I could have it
running NOW, but if the machine crashed it would take about a day to reboot,
they left me alone.

One of my least favorite moments in computing was when one of my two "big"
PCs would go down -- one had 66 GB of IDE disk (non-RAID config) and the
other has 30GB of RAID5 IDE.

fsck takes quite a while on those filesystems; moreso on the 66GB one
because it had more delta than the other one.
