Gotta have someting to replace the SS5 on the low end.  Also, in order to
support 16 domains, you needed more CPU power.  Lucky for the universe in
general, the SSP doesn't really beat on the disk too hard.  (I'm not
saying the SS5 was bad, but I have never liked the I/O on it.  Later revs
were better, tho.  At least the U5's were better "low end" than the SS4's.
Egad, what a piece of crap.  Then there was the 386i...

Overall, tho, Sun has had a good workstation line. The SS20, for example,
was an AMAZING box - it'll soon reach a decade, and it's *still* useful.
