There's just something so cool about this. =-)

Now if they could have only kept it functional AND working as a fridge -
maybe using one of these:

You could probably re-locate the cooling coils onto the back of the machine,
although that would probably require an "R" refill of some kind.  The maybe
reduce the system to a minimum of boards to fit the cooling enclosure in the
VME(?) rack.  Then run a small serial controlled temperature circuit and a
custom "refrigeratord" to monitor the temperature.

I think the eventual problem, among others, would be water condensation.
