[I asked this on the workstations list earlier, so apologies if you've
seen it before]

I finally resurrected my Indy from dead-hard-drive-hell. Followed the
instructions on reputable.com's indytech for partitioning the disk and
installing the Irix 6.2 - I just went with the default install.

However, when I originally bought the machine (as an ex-demo machine
from a dealer), the first time I booted it up it went through a load
of stuff asking for things like a name, IP details, user accounts,
things like that - I guess that that is the state that any new machine
ships in from SGI. This time, it just asked for a login (root with no
password worked of course) and dumped me into a shell. NO networking,
and whilst it was running in X, there was no window mangler and no
desktop! Eek! Can't live without 4dwm! :-)

So, I assume I need to add extra packages to the default install,
but how, what, and on what disk do I find them? I would like to know
how to get it back to the state it was when I bought it, partly
because it makes things nice and easy to configure, but also because
I'll need to know for if I ever get rid of it.
