So far I haven't tested how my girlfriend will stand up to silent or
subtitled films.  She handled The Messenger reasonably well.  Off the top
of my head I can't think of many more violent films.  

I'm not eager to test this, mainly because I'd rather spend time with her
doing things other than watching films.  Concerts, coffee houses, and
parties all seem like a much better use of time.

Not surprising.  In interviews, almost all artists seem to say that the
most limited projects inspire the most creativity.

That I did see.  It was... interesting.  Should rent it again
sometime.  That is where I got that impression about details though.
