So, I decided to sort through my muzak gear today.  I found:

1 Multi effects processor, on last legs
1 floor pedel unit for processor, dead
1 Guild electic, seen far better days
1 peavey back stage plus amp, dead
1 peavey kb100 amp, flacky plugs
1 univox guitar amp, dead
1 kawai keyboard, dead
2 wah-wah peddles, dead
1 volume peddle, bad pot
1 cheap delay pedel dead
1 reissue MXR Distortion+ pedel, dead
x cables, 2 good long ones, 2 good 18" ones, many dead ones

With the exception of the guitar, the multi effects unit, and the amps,
everything was purchased new.  And all of it was well cared for.  I never
stomp pedels, I don't bang gear around, nice cases for everything, and I
wrap my cables nicely without forcing them or kinking them.  With this
luck, why do I even try?
