I had much the same choice, and decided that the iBook won.  I don't need
the extra whizziness of the TiBook, plus I thought it was a bit too big.
I was very impressed with the sales geezer at the Apple centre I went to.
He actually asked what I wanted to use the thing for and then recommended
the iBook.  Sales people who don't recommend the most expensive toy in the
shop are GOOD.
