   Oooh, lord, I ate it when I ran track in high school. Awwwwwesome stuff.
   If I had too many aspirins for my shin splints than I got constant
nose-bleeds (thanks to asprini's blood-thinning properties), but a Midol
took care of it far faster than seemed possible.
   I think Midol is just ibuprofen, which you can buy in generic form. Lemme
see here.... Sure:

   Scroll down a bit and it says that the OTC (over the counter)dose is
200mg, but prescriptions will run up to 800mg. It also adds that several OTC
products,  including Midol, contain a mix of active ingredients, so just
start reading the back of the packages. (This is the same trick that lets
you buy CVS allergy medicine instead of Sudafed for the same sinus-clearing
effects: tryu something, figure out what its active ingeewdients are, and
look for another product containing _more_ of that ingredient if it worked,
or a different ingredient if it didn't work.)
