Before we left NM, I also had a lifted 1984 Toyota longbed (straight
axle).  The 4Runne would keep up with it except on the really gnarly
rocks.  I've had the 'Runner in places I thought it would never go
(Arroyos, in mud up to the hubs, etc.)  Great vehicle.  No leather.
