                and numerous test improvements.

o Modified geconn, minigeconn and bpconn to reduce the
potential for causing system panics and hangs. Also
made these tests non-standard, since they are mainly
                used by repair. (PV#357263, PV#359271, PV#351980)

o Made nicprobe test more robust. (PV#359848, PV#363019)

o befsdram would fail because of missing goldfile for
                2RM-16 configuration. (PV#386080)

o Added new test for verifying the size of texture
                relative to board configuration.(PV#359170)

              o framebuf test didn't work with 4 RMs (PV#356774).

o Added new test, swap, to test swap ready signals.
                (PV#355690).

o Made video tests more comprehensive (PV#324567).

o gpi test will not run if sirius board was installed
                (PV#366577).

o Added new tests to provide better coverage on GED
                (PV#356256).

o Turn on META reporting by default and add color
                (PV#376514).

o sysprobe test would fail on second loop (-sysprobe=2)
                (PV#360918).

o fixed a problem with fpconn causing the DG clock to
toggle between fast and slow mode (PV#388972).

o Changed test patterns for video test to provide better
                stress (PV#362802).

o Added test for BEF internal rams: -befintram.

o Added test for IMP calligraphic output -calig.

o Added new rm tests to test RM boards in all possible
                configs rmcrctri_comp rmcrctex_comp readback_comp.

o Enhanced voccpbuf test to include SWAP_VOC mode.

o Made dgconn test more robust and extensive.

o Fixes test escapes with connectivity tests (PV#355699).

o Fix problems encountered during BIST if DDO or PAB2
option boards have a VOC1b chip installed. (PV#515398)

o Fixed a problem where ge_ext_stress would fail if run
                after geconn.

o Fixed a problem where clipmaptst and texfmttst would
fail when run on a 4RM-16 machine.

1.4 Subsystems Included in Patch SG0002371
This patch release includes these subsystems:

              o patchSG0002371.eoe_sw.gfx

              o patchSG0002371.eoe_man.unix

    1.5 Installation Instructions
Because you want to install only the patches for problems
you have encountered, patch software is not installed by
default. After reading the descriptions of the bugs fixed
in this patch (see Section 1.3), determine the patches that
           meet your specific needs.

If, after reading Sections 1.1 and 1.2 of these release
notes, you are unsure whether your hardware and software
meet the requirements for installing a particular patch, run
inst. The inst program does not allow you to install
patches that are incompatible with your hardware or
           software.

Patch software is installed like any other Silicon Graphics
software product. Follow the instructions in your Software
Installation Administrator's Guide to bring up the miniroot
form of the software installation tools.

Follow these steps to select a patch for installation:

             1. At the Inst> prompt, type

                 install patchSGxxxxxxx

where xxxxxxx is the patch number.

             2. Initiate the installation sequence. Type

                 Inst> go

             3. You may find that two patches have been marked as
incompatible. (The installation tools reject an
installation request if an incompatibility is
detected.) If this occurs, you must deselect one of
                 the patches.

                 Inst> keep patchSGxxxxxxx

where xxxxxxx is the patch number.

             4. After completing the installation process, exit the
                 inst program by typing

                 Inst> quit

    1.6 Patch Removal Instructions
To remove a patch, use the versions remove command as you
would for any other software subsystem. The removal process
reinstates the original version of software unless you have
specifically removed the patch history from your system.

           versions remove patchSGxxxxxxx

where xxxxxxx is the patch number.

To keep a patch but increase your disk space, use the
versions removehist command to remove the patch history.

           versions removehist patchSGxxxxxxx

where xxxxxxx is the patch number.

    INST SUBSYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
    No Requirements Information Available.

    INST SUBSYSTEM CHECKSUMS

These checksums help to provide a 'signature' for the patch inst image which can be used to authenticate other inst images. You can obtain this kind of output by running sum -r on the image (from the command line):

    52065 2 patchSG0002371
    08858 18 patchSG0002371.eoe_man
    07966 13537 patchSG0002371.eoe_sw
    09138 50 patchSG0002371.idb
