Patch Name: PHSS_8609 Patch Description: s700_800 10.01-X0 OpenMail B.05.01 sendmail V8.7 support Creation Date: 96/10/23 Post Date: 96/11/05 Hardware Platforms - OS Releases: s700: 10.01 10.10 10.20 s800: 10.01 10.10 10.20 Products: OpenMail B.05.01 Filesets: OpenMail.OM-UNIX,B.05.01 OpenMail.OM-CORE,B.05.01 Automatic Reboot?: No Status: General Superseded Critical: No Path Name: /hp-ux_patches/s700_800/10.X/PHSS_8609 Symptoms: PHSS_8609: D500278564: D500277319: The B.05.01 version of openmail does not support sendmail V8.7, this is seen as an inability of omsendin to update the sendmail configuration file. Also the unix gateway is unable to send messages. Defect Description: PHSS_8609: D500278564: D500277319: A new omsendin script has been written to reconise the lines in sendmail.cf which corispond to OpenMail support. NOTE: no attempt is made to add in the missing lines if they are not present. The unix gateway has been changed to supply a hostname along with the helo command when talking to sendmail - to avoid problems with sendmail thinking a loop has occured "localhost"is used as the hostname.
