Id = HSLco27834 SR: H555005787 NULL device capacity is limited to 4 GB. Id = HSLco27870 SR: H555005799 When restoring a backup that spans over two media, session fails with the following error: "Invalid position specified. (Invalid seek position.)". Id = NSMex04534 SR: H555006003 Configuration of an Ultrium device on Solaris system fails. Id = HSLco27114 SR: H555005592 Cleaning signal is not detected. Id = NSMbb42922 SR: B555012031 Backup fails with "SM/MA protocol error" mesage. Id = NSMex04530 SR: H555006362 Media import sometimes fails due to I/O errors. Defect Description: PHSS_24980: Id = HSLco27797 TapeAnalyser does not recognize Ultrium 1-SCSI drive. Resolution: TapeAnalyser recognizes Ultrium 1-SCSI drive. Id = HSLco27834 Checking for medium size includes NULL device as well. Resolution: NULL device is removed from size checking. Id = HSLco27870 Restore fails because of nonexisting error reported. Resolution: Backup sessions that are span over two or more media are properly restored. Id = NSMex04534 Omniback does not recognize Ultrium devices on Solaris systems. Resolution: Ultrium devices are properly configured on Solaris systems. Please see Special Installation Instructions. Id = HSLco27114 Cleaning signal is incorrectly intercepted because of two REQUEST SENSE. Resolution: REQUEST SENSE is reduced from two to one. Id = NSMbb42922 Media Agent does not handle messages properly in cases when reconnect is needed. Resolution: Media Agent handles reconnect messages properly. Id = NSMex04530 Media import uses a lot of search operations in order to achieve better performance. In case of bad quality of drives or tapes, it sometimes fails with an I/O error. Resolution: New OB2 environment variable is introduced: OB2NOSEEKIMPORT. If this variable is set to 1, Media Agent will read through the complete tape and it will not use any search operations. This option reduces the chances of experiencing I/O errors during media import, but its performance is 3-4 times slower. If OB2NOSEEKIMPORT is set and the tape contains the "OB-crc" field, not only the tape is verified but also the "OB-crc". Since a copied tape (omnimcopy) will contain "OB-crc" field as well if the source tape did contain "OB-crc" fields, importing such a tape will also be "OB-crc" checked.
