Symptoms:
	PHSS_18949:

	  1. The message text from multiple ITO events are
	     combined and submitted as a single ARS ticket.

	  2. Multiple ITO events are combined into a single
	     ARS ticket when submited via the ITO trouble
	     ticket interface.

	PHSS_16240:

	  Passwords are not always encrypted correctly

	  When the system is busy, multiple ITO messages that are
	  sent via the TT interface, can be concatenated into a
	  single ARS entry

	  Character fields are in certain cases unnecessarily
	  truncated by the SPI when they are submitted to an ARS
	  entry.

	  Logfile messages are written with a two digit year.

	  The ITAROS_arssrv and ITAROS_itosrv daemon would not start
	  if the LANG variable was not set.

	  Inconsistent date formatting when messages are submitted
	  via the the trouble ticket interface versus the manual
	  submit application

	  When the ITO server system is very busy and high
	  level of transactions are submitted via the ITO
	  trouble ticket interface, in some circumstances,
	  multiple ITO messages are combined and submitted
	  as a single Remedy ARS ticket.

	1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

	2. Login as root.

	3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

	4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

		cd /tmp
		sh PHSS_18949

	5a. For a standalone system, run swinstall to install the
	    patch:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x match_target=true \
			-s /tmp/PHSS_18949.depot

	By default swinstall will archive the original software in
	/var/adm/sw/patch/PHSS_18949.  If you do not wish to retain a
	copy of the original software, you can create an empty file
	named /var/adm/sw/patch/PATCH_NOSAVE.

	WARNING: If this file exists when a patch is installed, the
	         patch cannot be deinstalled.  Please be careful
		 when using this feature.

	It is recommended that you move the PHSS_18949.text file to
	/var/adm/sw/patch for future reference.

	To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
	tape drive, use the command:

		dd if=/tmp/PHSS_18949.depot of=/dev/rmt/0m bs=2k

Special Installation Instructions:
	1) Stop the Remedy SPI via either the ITO Application
	     Desktop item or by executing:
	       ovstop ITAROS_itosrv ITAROS_arssrv

	  2) Run swinstall and install the patch

	  3) Edit the ITAROS.config file and re-enter the ITO and
	     ARS password as plain text:

	    ITAROS_ITOAPI_UPWD = <ITO password>
	    ITAROS_ARSAPI_PASSWD = <ARS password>

	  4) Start the Remedy SPI via either the ITO Application
	     Desktop item or by executing:
	       ovstart ITAROS_itosrv ITAROS_arssrv
