(SR#D500414037) If an empty UDM configuration is created, DBSPI returns error 31-6 Defect Description: PHSS_17471: (SR#D500416354) DBSPI collector/analyzer dbspicao observes connectivity problem to various Oracle 8.0.x instances on HP-UX. Resolution: This patch introduces different dbspicao binaries for Oracle 7.2 (dbspicao72), 7.3 (dbspicao73) and Oracle 8.x (dbspicao80). These binaries are linked statically with the appropriate Oracle 7 or 8 libraries. A wrapper dbspicao now picks the appropriate version depending on the version of Oracle (SR#D500425637) Metric 56 returns a negative number and thresholds incorrectly. The problem was caused by the use of an incorrect data type in the code. (SR#D500414037) If an empty UDM configuration is created, DBSPI returns error 31-6 If UDM Config is used to configure an empty UDM configuration file (either a file with no lines or a file containing all comment lines), then whenever the DB-SPI collector/analyzer is executed, an error will occur: 12/19/98 17:01:46 ERROR dbspicao(279) [../udm.c:299]: DBSPI31-6: Internal Error: UDM config not found for 'ORACLE'. For a homogeneous NFS Diskless cluster run swcluster on the server to install the patch on the server and the clients: swcluster -i -b This will invoke swcluster in the interactive mode and force all clients to be shut down. WARNING: All cluster clients must be shut down prior to the patch installation. Installing the patch while the clients are booted is unsupported and can lead to serious problems. The swcluster command will invoke an swinstall session in which you must specify: alternate root path - default is /export/shared_root/OS_700 source depot path - /tmp/PHSS_17471.depot To complete the installation, select the patch by choosing "Actions -> Match What Target Has" and then "Actions -> Install" from the Menubar. 5c.
