Patch Name: PHNE_15005 Patch Description: s700_800 10.10-20 HPAdminControl B.01.01.01 Netscape Errors Creation Date: 98/05/04 Post Date: 98/05/12 Hardware Platforms - OS Releases: s700: 10.10 10.20 s800: 10.10 10.20 Products: HPAdminControl B.01.01.01 Filesets: HPAdminControl.HPAC-RUN Automatic Reboot?: No Status: General Release Critical: No Path Name: /hp-ux_patches/s700_800/10.X/PHNE_15005 Symptoms: PHNE_15005: When product J1592AA (HP Domain Service Control) is installed on the same system as a Netscape Enterprise 3.x or Fasttrack 3.x server then server restarts will not work if: 1- J1592AA is installed after the Netscape server, AND 2- the Netscape server is installed in the locations: /opt/ns-ftrack or /opt/ns-enterpise3 The problem shows itself in two ways: 1- When you change a value via Netscape's Admin server and attempt to save the change, the Admin server restarts the Enterprise or Fasttrack server. The restart fails. 2- You run the restart command for the server. In this case the restart command silently fails and so does the Netscape server. Defect Description: PHNE_15005: The HP Admission Control (HPAC) of HP Domain Service Control contains a software bug. To reproduce the problem run: /opt/ns-enterprise3/https-/start or /opt/ns-ftrack/httpd-/start Next issue the restart command for the chosen server. The server will not restart, but instead will silently terminate operation.
