Symptoms:
        PHCO_5396:
        - Broadcast address may be incorrect after IP address is
          changed.
        - ATM and FibreChannel devices are not recognized.
        - Permissions on ftp directories created by SAM are
          incorrect.
        - lanadmin fails with a bad station address after
          configuring a lan card.
        - SAM aborts with a segmentation violation in some
          instances when a C1300/C2300 (NIKE) disk array is
          connected to the system.  The error occurs when
          trying to enter SAM's Disk and File System manager.

Defect Description:
        PHCO_5396:
        - Additional interface cards were added to the support list
          after release.
        - When a lan card is configured, the leading "0x" is left
          off the station address entered in the following
          /etc/rc.config.d files: hpetherconf, hpvgalconf,
          hpfddiconf, and hptokenconf.
        - When ftp directories are created, the permissions are
          not set properly.
        - A string array is overrun when retrieving the device file
          name of a Nike disk array, causing a coredump.

        1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

        2. Login as root.

        3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

        4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

                cd /tmp
                sh PHCO_5396

        5. Run swinstall to install the patch:

                swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x match_target=true
                        -s /tmp/PHCO_5396.depot

        By default swinstall will archive the original software in
        /var/adm/sw/patch/PHCO_5396.  If you do not wish to retain a
        copy of the original software, you can create an empty file
        named /var/adm/sw/patch/PATCH_NOSAVE.

        Warning: If this file exists when a patch is installed, the
                 patch cannot be deinstalled.  Please be careful
                 when using this feature.

        It is recommended that you move the PHCO_5396.text file to
        /var/adm/sw/patch for future reference.

        To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
        tape drive, use the command:

                swpackage -s /tmp/PHCO_5396.depot -x
                        target_type=tape -d /dev/rmt/0m PHCO_5396
