Patch Name: PHCO_22275 Patch Description: s700_800 10.20 df(1M) cumulative patch Creation Date: 00/08/31 Post Date: 00/10/02 Hardware Platforms - OS Releases: s700: 10.20 s800: 10.20 Products: N/A Filesets: OS-Core.UX-CORE Automatic Reboot?: No Status: General Release Critical: No Path Name: /hp-ux_patches/s700_800/10.X/PHCO_22275 Symptoms: PHCO_22275: Program abort. PHCO_15344: No visible symptoms. PHCO_14213: 'df -k' with certain types of file systems, such as AutoFS, will coredump. PHCO_13982: This patch allows df to display input for very long file/path names. For example, if a file system is mounted on /usr/TST90123456789012345678901234567890, executing 'df' will properly display it. However, if you 'cd /usr' and do df TST90123456789012345678901234567890 df will fail with: df:open of /usr/TST901234567890123456789012 failed. PHCO_13843: This patch is part of the 10.20 ACE 2 bundle which adds networking enhancements to 10.20. New networking features supported in ACE 2 include NFS Version 3.0, AutoFS, and CacheFS. Defect Description: PHCO_22275: Buffer overflow. Resolution: Modify df(1m) to check the length of the buffer. PHCO_15344: Remove fileset-level checkinstall script added for ONC+ Networking Enhancements bundle to avoid manufacturing conflicts. PHCO_14213: For certain types of file systems, such as AutoFS, one calculation to provide the data when 'df -k' is used may cause a division by 0, resulting in a coredump. The calculation has been adjusted to return 0 in such cases. PHCO_13982: The df command was relying on the 'f_fstr' value returned from statvfs to determine the mount point. This value is not reliable since it is limited to 32 chars, and is not necessarily the mount point since it is simply a 'file system specific string'. A new method has been added to correctly identify the file system mount point. PHCO_13843: New functionality to support networking features in 10.20.
