Patch Name: PHCO_17720 Patch Description: s700_800 10.26 epa(1M) groups propagation Creation Date: 99/02/25 Post Date: 99/04/07 Hardware Platforms - OS Releases: s700: 10.26 s800: 10.26 Products: N/A Filesets: BLS.BLS-CORE Automatic Reboot?: No Status: General Release Critical: No Path Name: /hp-ux_patches/s700_800/10.X/PHCO_17720 Symptoms: PHCO_17720: When a user invokes the epa command, the secondary group for the command is that of the invoker and not of the UID specified in the epa command. Defect Description: PHCO_17720: The epa command is currently propagating the secondary groups from the epa invoker to the command it runs regardless of the UID specification. The epa(1M) manpage contains no reference to secondary groups, but logically it should be that of the specified UID. Resolution: When login uid is specified, secondary groups are set to be the same as the ones belonging to that uid.
