        PHNE_5634:
        The following symptoms correspond to the descriptions in
        the defect descriptions fields for PHNE_5634:
        1. User will receive an error from lanadmin when using
           the -S (set speed option) on a Token Ring/9000 Model
           712 driver when first initializing the speed from the
           factory default of "NO SPEED SET".

Defect Description:
        PHNE_5634:
        The following defect descriptions are for PHNE_5634:
        1. Problem occurred in the token3 driver because it was
           rejecting a statistical request sent from lanadmin
           prior to the actual set speed request.  Lanadmin
           received the rejection of the statistical request and
           interpreted this as a dead driver which would not
           accept any further requests, set speed included.

        1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

        2. Login as root.

        3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

        4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

                cd /tmp
                sh PHNE_5634

        5. Run swinstall to install the patch:

                swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x match_target=true
                        -s /tmp/PHNE_5634.depot

        By default swinstall will archive the original software in
        /var/adm/sw/patch/PHNE_5634.  If you do not wish to retain a
        copy of the original software, you can create an empty file
        named /var/adm/sw/patch/PATCH_NOSAVE.

        Warning: If this file exists when a patch is installed, the
                 patch cannot be deinstalled.  Please be careful
                 when using this feature.

        It is recommended that you move the PHNE_5634.text file to
        /var/adm/sw/patch for future reference.

        To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
        tape drive, use the command:

                swpackage -s /tmp/PHNE_5634.depot -x
                        target_type=tape -d /dev/rmt/0m PHNE_5634
