Symptoms:
	PHNE_11900:
	  hpstreams_option1 may panic under certain error
	  conditions.  Also, under certain conditions, t_sync
	  will return an incorrect state.

	PHNE_10519:
	  t_snd() reports incorrect number of bytes sent when in
	  asynchronous mode (O_NONBLOCK is set) and TFLOW occurs.

	PHNE_9057:
	  o System can panic during kernel debugging
	  o Kernel can exceed maximum stack size with certain
	    applications

	PHNE_8477:
	  o The poll() system call will leak memory when called
	  for a large (>64) number of file descriptors.  In time
	  this will hang the system.
	  o Fix a race condition that could cause a panic

	PHNE_7356:
	  o KXTI function calls can be used.
	  o Silent data corruption to the application user.T_MORE
	    flag not set correctly.

	PHNE_7152:
	 Panics in osr_xti_snd path when system load is high - low
	  on free memeory
	 Panics while closing a stream

	PHNE_6727:
	  o For XPG4.2 conforming application poll() does not
	    return POLLWRBAND before out-of-band data has been
	    written. Returns incorrect poll events.
	  o putmsg() and putpmsg() prototypes not XPG4.2 conformant.

	PHNE_6316:
	  o System panics because pullupmsg() corrupted memory.
	  o t_rcv can return incorrect value.
	  o t_snd not setting T_MORE correctly.
	  o Closing a streams stack containing a mux may cause a
	    system hang.

Defect Description:
	PHNE_11900:
	  There is an uninitialized variable in hpstreams_option1
	  that will cause a panic in certain error legs.  The
	  t_sync problem is caused by the stream head and the
	  library having different views of the world because
	  the stream head sees messages before the library does.

	PHNE_10519:
	  XTI and TLI applications may experience apparent data
	  corruption.  This occurs only when the application sends
	  data using t_snd in asynchronous mode (O_NONBLOCK is set)
	  and t_snd returns fewer bytes than passed, with t_errno
	  set to TFLOW.  In this case, the number of bytes reported
	  to have been sent is incorrect.

	PHNE_9057:
	  o The strlog() function will panic if passed a string
	    greater than 128 bytes long
	  o The stack problem was found with drivers and modules
	    that employ a very deep execution stack

	PHNE_8477:
	  o When called to monitor >64 open file descriptors,
	  the poll() system call MALLOC's space for internal
	  data.  This space was never FREE'd.
	  o A race condition in the csq_newparent() function
	  can cause the system to panic under heavy load.

	PHNE_7356:
	  o KXTI functions were not enabled.
	  o If a single message with the T_MORE flag
	    set is read by an application calling t_rcv() more
	    than twice for that single message.

	PHNE_7152:
	 Fixes osr_xti_snd() to check if the mp is a valid mblk
	 before calling freeb() for it

	PHNE_6727:
	  o poll() did not conform to XPG4 specification.
	  o putmsg() and putpmsg() defns in stropts.h not correct.

	PHNE_6316:
	  o System panics because pullupmsg() corrupted memory
	  o t_rcv code doesn't deal with T_MORE correctly.
	  o t_snd not setting T_MORE correctly.
	  o System hangs because modules not closed correctly.

Installation Instructions:
	Please review all instructions and the Hewlett-Packard
	SupportLine User Guide or your Hewlett-Packard support terms
	and conditions for precautions, scope of license,
	restrictions, and, limitation of liability and warranties,
	before installing this patch.
	------------------------------------------------------------
	1. Back up your system before installing a patch.

	2. Login as root.

	3. Copy the patch to the /tmp directory.

	4. Move to the /tmp directory and unshar the patch:

		cd /tmp
		sh PHNE_11900

	5a. For a standalone system, run swinstall to install the
	    patch:

		swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x match_target=true \
			-s /tmp/PHNE_11900.depot

	5b. For a homogeneous NFS Diskless cluster run swcluster on the
	    server to install the patch on the server and the clients:

		swcluster -i -b

	    This will invoke swcluster in the interactive mode and
	    force all clients to be shut down.

	    WARNING: All cluster clients must be shut down prior to the
		     patch installation.  Installing the patch while the
		     clients are booted is unsupported and can lead to
		     serious problems.

	    The swcluster command will invoke an swinstall session in which
	    you must specify:

		alternate root path  -  default is /export/shared_root/OS_700
		source depot path    -  /tmp/PHNE_11900.depot

	    To complete the installation, select the patch by choosing
	    "Actions -> Match What Target Has" and then "Actions -> Install"
	    from the Menubar.

	5c. For a heterogeneous NFS Diskless cluster:

		- run swinstall on the server as in step 5a to install
		  the patch on the cluster server.

		- run swcluster on the server as in step 5b to install
		  the patch on the cluster clients.

	By default swinstall will archive the original software in
	/var/adm/sw/patch/PHNE_11900.  If you do not wish to retain a
	copy of the original software, you can create an empty file
	named /var/adm/sw/patch/PATCH_NOSAVE.

	Warning: If this file exists when a patch is installed, the
	         patch cannot be deinstalled.  Please be careful
		 when using this feature.

	It is recommended that you move the PHNE_11900.text file to
	/var/adm/sw/patch for future reference.

	To put this patch on a magnetic tape and install from the
	tape drive, use the command:

		dd if=/tmp/PHNE_11900.depot of=/dev/rmt/0m bs=2k
