There is a copy of the executable XC in /usr/lib/xc. It may live in any directory on your PATH, but it should always have uid and gid set to uucp, and should show '-rws--x--x' permissions. The command line 'chown uucp xc;chgrp uucp xc;chmod 4711 xc' will do the deed. The Xenix binary is version 4.3; the Unix version is 4.4. The complete source code for XC version 4.4 is in /usr/lib/xc/src. Three formatted versions of the manual for XC are in /usr/lib/xc: xc.LOCAL compress or pack this, and place it in /usr/man/cat.LOCAL xc.lp.fancy this is paginated, and suitable for a back-spacing printer xc.lp.plain this is for any printer The first of these has backspace sequences that are understood by 'more', 'pg', or 'less'. It it is not paginated, it's one long manuscript. The second uses the same backspace sequences, but is paginated. The third is entirely plain text, and also paginated. Sample scripts are provided in /usr/lib/xc. Copies of the these are also in /usr/lib/xc/src. The ones which start with a dot (e.g. .xc, .autocis) are scripts for XC. Three others (call, callback, and cisdownload) are Bourne shell scripts. Copy and use these to your heart's content, but of course you need to modify them for your local modem ports, telephone numbers, login names, passwords.
