Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7706a, the UnixWare 7 ReliantHA vmac 
Driver Supplement, addresses the following problem:


        If a ReliantHA cluster configuration includes virtual network
        interfaces, the system may sometimes panic on init 1.

Software Notes and Recommendations
----------------------------------

ptf7706a should only be installed on:

        UnixWare 7 ReliantHA 1.1 on UnixWare 7.0.0 with the UnixWare 7
        Release Supplement (uw7rs)

        UnixWare 7 ReliantHA 1.1 on UnixWare 7.0.1, 7.1.0, 7.1.1


Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf7706a.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine.

2. As root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system
   using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7706a.Z
        # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7706a
        # rm /tmp/ptf7706a

Alternatively, this SLS package may be installed in quiet mode, 
that is, without displaying the release notes and asking for 
confirmation.  To do this, use these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7706a.Z
        # pkgadd -qd /tmp/ptf7706a all
        # rm /tmp/ptf7706a

3. Reboot the system after installing this package.

   The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in:

   /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7706/install/ptf7706.txt


Removal Instructions
--------------------

1. As root, remove the package using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # pkgrm ptf7706

2. Reboot the system after removing this package.
