Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7680a, the SCO UnixWare 7.1.0 or 7.1.1 ttymon supplement, addresses the following problems: 1. Disable does not halt the login process once there has been any IO on the port. Note that SLS ptf7680a supersedes ptf7423a, which addressed the following: 2. On UnixWare 7.1.0, logging in over a modem using cu(1bnu) fails when the port is configured for bidirectional (incoming and outgoing) use. Download the ptf7680a.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. As root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system using these commands: $ su Password: # uncompress /tmp/ptf7680a.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7680a # rm /tmp/ptf7680a Alternatively, this SLS package may be installed in quiet mode, that is, without displaying the release notes and asking for confirmation. To do this, use these commands: $ su Password: # uncompress /tmp/ptf7680a.Z # pkgadd -qd /tmp/ptf7680a all # rm /tmp/ptf7680a 3. There is no need to reboot the system after installing this package. The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in: /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7680/install/ptf7680.txt Removal Instructions -------------------- 1. As root, remove the package using these commands: $ su Password: # pkgrm ptf7680 2. There is no need to reboot the system after removing this package.
