Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7657a, the UnixWare 7.1.0 and 7.1.1 hostmibd supplement, addresses the following problem: Disk and swap space usage figures reported by snmp (e.g. by the command "getmany localhost public hrStorage") may be negative or otherwise incorrect. Computation is now performed in such a way as to avoid overflow if possible, and the resulting value is capped at 2147483647 (INT_MAX) if it would exceed that limit. Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1. Download the ptf7657a.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. As root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system using these commands: $ su Password: # uncompress /tmp/ptf7657a.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7657a # rm /tmp/ptf7657a Alternatively, this SLS package may be installed in quiet mode, that is, without displaying the release notes and asking for confirmation. To do this, use these commands: $ su Password: # uncompress /tmp/ptf7657a.Z # pkgadd -qd /tmp/ptf7657a all # rm /tmp/ptf7657a 3. There is no need to reboot the system after installing this package.
