Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7436a, the UnixWare 7 Release 7.0.0, 7.0.1 and 7.1.0 OpenServer libc Compatibility Supplement, updates /OpenServer/usr/lib/libc.so.1 to the same level as the version shipped as part of Release Supplement 505A (rs505a) on SCO OpenServer 5.0.5. Included in this new library are a number of fixes for time and date processing problems including: - getdate(S) does not process %y DATEMSK correctly - mktime(S) does not handle leap year in normalizing date - strptime(S) writes %y directly into tm_year - mktime(S) does not handle julian normalization - localtime(S) does not report correct dates prior to 1970 All libc fixes shipped in RS505a are also contained in this SLS. You need only apply this supplement if you are running OpenServer binaries on your UnixWare 7 system, and: (1) The OpenServer binaries are ELF binaries. (2) The OpenServer binaries use libc.so.1. (3) The OpenServer binaries use APIs that are fixed by rs505a.
