Dear SCO Customer,

Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7433a, the UnixWare 7 hw Utility Supplement,
contains a version of the SCO OpenServer hw command created for UnixWare 7.

SLS ptf7433a contains:

        /etc/hw
        /usr/man/html.1M/hw.1M.html


Software Notes and Recommendations
----------------------------------

ptf7433a should only be installed on:

        UnixWare 7.0.0, 7.0.1, or 7.1.0

SLS ptf7433a is dependent upon the presence of ptf7407b (or later).
SLS ptf7407b must be installed prior to installing ptf7433a.


Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf7433a.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine.

2. As root, uncompress the file and add the SLS package to your system
   using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7433a.Z
        # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7433a
        # rm /tmp/ptf7433a

3. There is no need to reboot the system after installing this SLS package.

The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in:

        /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7433/install/ptf7433.txt


Removal Instructions
--------------------

1. As root, remove the SLS package using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # pkgrm ptf7433

2. There is no need to reboot the system after removing this SLS package.
