Dear SCO Customer,

Support Level Supplement (SLS) PTF7204A, the UnixWare 7.0.1 async patch,
corrects the following problems:

1. Processes hang on exit following an Oracle database build.

2. aio_intersect is too strict, and does not accomodate mprotects.


SLS PTF7204A contains:

	/etc/conf/pack.d/async/Driver_mp.o
	/etc/conf/pack.d/async/Driver_atup.o
	/usr/include/sys/aiosys.h

SLS PTF7204A should only be installed on:

         UnixWare 7.0.1


Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf7204a.Z and ptf7204a.txt files to the /tmp directory on
   your machine.

2. As root, uncompress the file and add the SLS package to your system
   using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7204a.Z
        # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7204a
        # rm /tmp/ptf7204a

3. Reboot the system after installing this SLS package.

The release notes, displayed prior to installation, can be found in:

        /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7204/install/ptf7204.txt


Removal Instructions
--------------------

1. As root, remove the SLS package using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # pkgrm ptf7204

2. Reboot the system after removing this SLS package.
