Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7140a, the Webtop 1.4 Supplement, corrects several problems with the UnixWare 7 Webtop released with UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.0 and 7.1.1. SLS ptf7140a supersedes ptf7132a, the Webtop 1.3 Supplement for UnixWare 7.1.0. All fixes originally included in SLS ptf7132a are now contained in ptf7140a. It is not necessary to remove ptf7132a prior to installing ptf7140a, as the installation scripts included in ptf7140a will automatically remove ptf7132a. SLS ptf7140a corrects these problems: General - Webtop binaries have been updated to reflect the latest Tarantella binary files. - Character emulator applets no longer embed spaces between characters when using Communicator 4.08 on UnixWare 7. - Fixes to the Webtop binaries decrease the occurrence of applications hanging or failing to resume. - "user1" and "user2" themes have been added and are available through the Control Center. - Prior to installing, ptf7140a will save the login and Webtop themes directories to /opt/webtop~ . System Troubleshooting - Webtop 1.4 makes use of the Tarantella CGI Authentication (TCA) scheme. If the administrator removes the web server's restrictions on the /opt/webtop/cgi-bin/admin directory, TCA becomes active and users are no longer prompted for additional authentication when entering the System Troubleshooting section of the Webtop. Software Notes and Recommendations ---------------------------------- SLS ptf7140a should only be installed on: UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.0, 7.1.1 running the UnixWare 7 Webtop Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1.
