Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) PTF7124B, the Licensing Supplement, modifies the license manager so that adding certain licenses twice does not result in the license manager failing to run. SLS PTF7124B also provides an updated license map file that corrects a problem licensing some additional products, and a problem registering some UnixWare 7 systems. SLS PTF7124B fixes these problems: - Adding certain licenses twice using the license manager could corrupt /var/netls/nodelock by adding duplicate product licenses. This caused subsequent attempts to run the license manager to fail. Associated SCO tracking numbers: ul98-33602, 500926 The following fixes were also present in PTF7124A: - If UnixWare 7.0.0 or 7.0.1 was installed and licensing deferred, no system ID was generated, making it impossible to register the system at a later date. Associated SCO tracking numbers: ul98-08302, 500855 - UnixWare 7.0.0 and 7.0.1 did not correctly recognize some product licenses. The licenses that were not correctly recognized include: 1GB Maximum Memory 4GB Maximum Memory 8GB Maximum Memory 16GB Maximum Memory 32GB Maximum Memory 64GB Maximum Memory Veritas On-line Data Manager Veritas VxVM With Mirroring Associated SCO tracking numbers: ul98-14006, 500880 Note: With some layered products (for example, Netscape products), if you add a license using the license manager before you install the software, the license will appear in the license manager as: "License for unknown software with ID xxxx" You must install the layered software for this license to be correctly recognized by the license manager.
