Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) PTF7090A, the Replacement rsh Supplement, corrects the problem of a potential process hang when rsh is used heavily. This was originally observed when thousands of print jobs were being issued remotely where rsh was called. SLS PTF7090A provides a modified /usr/bin/rsh which fixes this problem. SLS PTF7090A contains: /usr/bin/rsh Software Notes and Recommendations ---------------------------------- SLS PTF7090A should only be installed on: UnixWare 7.0.0, 7.0.1 Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1. Download the ptf7090a.Z and ptf7090a.txt files to the /tmp directory on your machine. 2. As root, uncompress the file and add the SLS package to your system using these commands: $ su Password: # uncompress /tmp/ptf7090a.Z # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7090a # rm /tmp/ptf7090a 3. There is no need to reboot the system after installing this SLS package. As root, remove the SLS package using these commands: $ su Password: # pkgrm ptf7090 2. There is no need to reboot the system after removing this SLS package.
