Dear SCO Customer, Support Level Supplement (SLS) PTF7082A, the UnixWare 7.0.1 psm_time Driver Patch, addresses a problem where the system cannot read the second boot floppy. Upon inserting the floppy, the system returns this message: Error determining if this is the correct diskette Warning: FDC unexpected state The problem occurs because the psm software is too strict with timing speed sanity checking limits. If a machine is more than twenty times faster than the reference CPU, then the operating system prints a warning and sets the calibration to the sanity limited value. SLS PTF7082A relaxes timing speed sanity checking limits to allow for faster machines.
