SOLUTION: The USB 2.0 Drivers Supplement version 8.0.2e updates the standard set of USB 2.0 Drivers provided in UnixWare 7.1.4 Maintenance Pack 4 (MP4). It provides the following fixes over version 8.0.2c provided with UW7.1.4 MP4: 1. The kernel code that handles USB device connections has been changed to be more tolerant of anomalous behavior of some hardware. In part, this includes the insertion of a few seconds delay at the start of the USB connection logic. fz534670 2. The Universal Host Controller Interface (UHCI) driver (usb_uhci) has been changed to eliminate a memory corruption bug caused by referencing a dynamically allocated memory block after it had been freed. fz534990 3. The USB mass storage driver (usb_msto) has been changed to transmit certain USB Floppy Interface (UFI) commands required to format USB diskettes. These commands had previously been blocked. fz535120 This supplement can be found on the SCO Support Download site at: http://www.sco.com/support/update/download/release.php?rid=365 and on the SCO FTP site at: ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/unixware7/714/drivers/usb_802e ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation ============ To install the USB 2.0 Drivers Supplement version 8.0.2e: 1.
