PROBLEM:   What is USB 2.0 Drivers Supplement version 8.0.2e, the
           USB Drivers for UnixWare 7.1.4?

SOLUTION:  The USB 2.0 Drivers Supplement version 8.0.2e updates
           the standard set of USB 2.0 Drivers provided in UnixWare
           7.1.4  Maintenance Pack 4 (MP4).  It provides the following 
           fixes over version 8.0.2c provided with UW7.1.4 MP4:

           1. The kernel code that handles USB device connections
              has been changed to be more tolerant of anomalous
              behavior of some hardware.  In part, this includes
              the insertion of a few seconds delay at the start
              of the USB connection logic.

           2. The Universal Host Controller Interface (UHCI) driver
              (usb_uhci) has been changed to eliminate a memory
              corruption bug caused by referencing a dynamically
              allocated memory block after it had been freed.

           3. The USB mass storage driver (usb_msto) has been changed
              to transmit certain USB Floppy Interface (UFI) commands
              required to format USB diskettes.   These commands
              had previously been blocked.

Installation
============

To install the USB 2.0 Drivers Supplement version 8.0.2e:

1.  Log in to your system as root.

2.  Change directory to a temporary work directory.

3.  Download the usb.802e.pkg file to the temporary work directory.

4.  Then install via this command:

               pkgadd -d `pwd`/usb.802e.pkg

5.  A reboot of the system should be done to ensure the system's sanity.
