Host Bus Adapter (HBA) Driver Supplement - megasas Driver version 1.1

PROBLEM:  All LSI MegaRAID SAS Host Adapters are not supported.
          
SOLUTION: The megasas Driver Supplement provides the following driver:

                megasas - LSI SAS MegaRAID Version 1.1 - IHVVERSION 00.00.03.05

          Version 1.1 of the megasas driver has the following changes:

          	provide the latest version of the driver according to LSI

          Version 1.0 of the megasas driver has the following changes:

          	provide support for HBA products and motherboards based on
            either the LSISAS1068 and LSISAS1078. Version 0.9 only
            supported LSISAS1068-based products.

            provide support for Dell PERC 5/i SAS RAID controllers

          Version 0.9 of the megasas driver has the following changes:

          	provide support for LSI MegaRAID SAS.

          This driver can be used during fresh installation of any supported
          OpenServer 6/UnixWare 7 system or can be applied to an existing 
          system.

          The megasas driver is provided in both hba.megasas.1.1.image, 
          a dd image of an HBA floppy and hba.megasas.1.1.iso, an ISO 
          image of an HBA CDROM.

          Both images will eventually be available at the following URLs:

I. Installation

While installing OpenServer 6/UnixWare 7 be sure to insert the megasas 
Driver Supplement media before any HBA drivers supplied with your media kit.

Use the following steps on a OpenServer 6/UnixWare 7 system to create
an HBA floppy from the HBA floppy image file.

        1. Become root and create a new directory by typing:

                $ su
                Password: <type your root password>
                # mkdir /tmp/hba
                # cd /tmp/hba

        2. Download the hba.megasas.1.1.image file to the newly
           created /tmp/hba directory on your machine.

        3. Make an megasas HBA diskette from the image file using this command:

                # dd if=hba.megasas.1.1.image of=/dev/dsk/f0t obs=36b

        4. Use this megasas HBA diskette during system installation.

Use the following steps on a OpenServer 6/UnixWare 7 system to create
an HBA CD from the HBA ISO image file.

        1. Become root and create a new directory by typing:

                $ su
                Password: <type your root password>
                # mkdir /tmp/hba
                # cd /tmp/hba

        2. Download the hba.megasas.1.1.iso file to the newly
           created /tmp/hba directory on your machine.

        3. Make an megasas HBA CD from the iso file using this command:

                # cdrecord -v -dev=c,b,t -dao -driveropts=burnfree -speed=99 hba.megasas.1.1.iso

                where c,b,t is taken from the output of cdrecord --scanbus

        4. Use this megasas HBA CD during system installation.

II. Upgrading drivers on existing OpenServer 6/UnixWare 7 system

The megasas HBA diskette can also be used to upgrade the megasas driver
on your system using the following command:

         1. Insert the HBA driver diskette and type the command:

                # pkgadd -d diskette1 all

                  or

                # pkgadd -d diskette1 megasas

The megasas HBA CD can also be used to upgrade the megasas driver
on your system using the following command:

         1. Insert the HBA driver CD and type the command:

                # pkgadd -d cdrom1 all

                  or

                # pkgadd -d cdrom1 megasas
