Installation Notes

Before beginning the installation, download and print the Release and Installation Notes for the RealNetworks products from www.sco.com/documentation/postscript/realnet/osr5.
The PostScript files are provided in gzip (.gz) compressed format. Uncompress these files with gunzip from www.sco.com/documentation/postscript/bin/gunzip_osr5.tar.

Audio Configuration Manager Supplement

RealPlayer 5.0 will not operate correctly without the Audio Configuration Manager Supplement installed. This supplement adds support for various SoundBlaster-compatible cards by providing new audio drivers.

Also, on SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.5, this supplement provides a few minor updates to the Plug and Play utilities so the audio configuration utility can exchange information with the PnP subsystem.

You can download the supplement and the associated audio.readme file from:

ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/drivers/OSR505/audio

Be sure to review the installation and configuration instructions for the supplement in the readme file.
