RealNetworks RealAudio 3.1 Encoder for UnixWare 7 systems

The RealNetworksTM RealAudio® system is the most popular and practical solution for streaming real-time and on-demand audio over the Internet and corporate intranets.

System Requirements

Software: UnixWare® 7
RAM: 32MB (64 MB recommended)
Disk space: 4MB free disk space
Sound card: 16-bit sound card with Open Sound System sound driver

Installation Notes

Before beginning the installation, download and print the Release and Installation Notes for the RealNetworks products from www.sco.com/documentation/postscript/realnet/uw7.
The PostScript files are provided in gzip (.gz) compressed format. Uncompress these files with gunzip from www.sco.com/documentation/postscript/bin/gunzip_uw7.tar.

Installation

Once you have downloaded the product tar file(s) from the Download page, perform the following steps as root:

  1. Move the file(s) to a preferred installation directory:
    mv C0*.tar /tmp1
  2. Change to the installation directory:
    cd /tmp1
  3. Using the tar command, extract the installation images:
    tar xvf C0*.tar
  4. Use pkgadd to install RealAudio Encoder software and documentation:
    pkgadd -d `pwd`/rnenc31.pkg
    pkgadd -d `pwd`/rnenc31D.pkg
