Getting Started
SCO ARCserve/Open 2.2 Client Agents
SCO® ARCserve®/Open
from Cheyenne® supports network
backup and restore of the following platforms:

Windows 95, and Windows NT 3.5 and 4.0®

The SCO ARCserve/Open 2.2 Client Agents for each of
these platforms are available from this Download page.
An evaluation copy of the SCO ARCserve/Open server,
which allows for connections up to five client systems,
is available from the SCO ARCserve/Open Download page
in the Evaluation Software area.
System Requirements
SCO ARCserve/Open 2.2 Client Agent system requirements
vary, depending on the operating system.
See the Release Notes (available from
the SCO ARCserve/Open 2.2 Client Agents Download page)
for the system requirements of each supported Client Agent.
Downloading and Installing SCO ARCserve/Open 2.2 Client Agents
Depending on the speed and reliability of your Internet connection, you can select to
download the SCO ARCserve/Open 2.2 Client Agents as a complete tar
file, or as a partial
tar files.
To download the complete product (C0*.tar) file
from the Download page:

Select the complete product (C0*.tar) file from the SCO ARCserve/Open Download
page.
-
As root, move the file to a preferred installation
directory:
mv C0*.tar /tmp1
-
Change to the installation directory:
cd /tmp1
-
Extract the installation package files from the tar file:
tar xvf C0*.tar
To download partial tar files (P*.tar) from the Download page:
-
Select each required component file (P*.tar) from the SCO ARCserve/Open Download
page.

As root, move the files to a preferred installation
directory:
mv P*.tar /tmp1
-
Change to the installation directory:
cd /tmp1
-
Extract the installation package files from the tar file. You must run the follwing
command on each of the partial product files:
tar xvf P*.tar
-
Execute the following command to build the partial product files into a
single tar file:
cat arc1 arc2 arc4 arc4 arc5 > arcagents.tar
-
Extract the arcagents.tar file:
tar xvf arcagents.tar

Configuration
Configuration instructions for the various
SCO ARCserve/Open 2.2 Client Agents are

To view configuration information before installing
the a Client Agent, return
to the SCO ARCserve/Open 2.2 Client Agent Download page
and click on the Release Notes link.
