UnixWare 7 Migration Guide
SCO OpenServer 5 to Unixware 7

The "UnixWare 7 Migration Guide" includes step-by-step procedures for migrating your system data. This release does not include the Migration Wizard, a set of tools currently in development and scheduled for availablity at the end of 1999. The official release of the Migration Wizard will include release 1.1 of this guide, which will be installed with the online documentation under SCOhelp.

Important Notes

The "Migration Guide" includes procedures that replicate most functions of the Migration Wizard. To migrate user accounts, use the instructions in "Copying accounts from SCO OpenServer 5 to UnixWare 7" in this guide. Be sure and make a complete backup using cpio (or the Backup Manager) before beginning your migration. You can restore these backups using the instructions in "Restoring SCO OpenServer 5 backups."
